As part of the project, we carried out the complete prefabrication and on-site installation of the sprinkler piping system for a high-rise building in Vienna. What made the solution particularly unique was that the system was integrated directly into the concrete slab rather than installed above a suspended ceiling — a technology still rarely used in Europe. The installation required an exceptionally high level of precision. Due to the scheduling of the concreting process, only a few hours were available to position, secure and weld the piping system with millimetre-level accuracy. This degree of precision was made possible through the use of prefabrication. The efficiency of the technology is further demonstrated by the fact that, on average, only three specialists were required on each floor. Working in close cooperation with the client, this was already the 11th high-rise building delivered using the same technology applied in this project. The installation was completed quickly, accurately and to a high standard, demonstrating the advantages of prefabrication and BIM-based design.
